The Working for Families (WFF) statistics section has reports on entitlement to WFF during an income tax year. The statistics include number of families receiving WFF, number of children supported, total entitlement amounts, average entitlement amount per family and an income distribution of Working for Families recipients by tax credit.
We update these statistics data annually. The latest update uses data extracted from Inland Revenue systems on 17 August 2026.
You can download the WFF data from the 2001 to 2025 tax years on the Working for Families statistics dataset page. Data for the 2020 to 2024 tax years has been revised since the last release.
A table providing an income distribution of Working for Families recipients is available from 2020 to 2025.
Technical information is provided on the explanatory notes tab of the spreadsheet containing the statistics.
