Budget 2017 - Four-year plan

Inland Revenue’s Four-year plan 2017 sets out what it intends to achieve and how it will achieve this. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the information in this document a small amount of content has been redacted. This is standard practice.

Annual Report

Each year the Commissioner of Inland Revenue issues an annual report which the Minister of Revenue tables in Parliament. The report compares our performance against objectives set at the beginning of the financial year. Download our Annual Reports from the last few years.

Statement of Intent

The Public Finance Act 1989 requires departments to publish their strategic intentions at least once every three years. We set out our strategic intentions in our Statement of Intent.

Commissioner's expenses

This information is provided in response to the State Services Commissioner's introduction of a disclosure regime for the Commissioner's expenses, gifts and hospitality.

Our strategic direction

This section covers the strategies which outline Inland Revenue's desired future and strategic direction.

Compliance focus

Inland Revenue has to date published its annual compliance programme to tell people about the areas of focus and what we are doing to address significant issues and behaviours that impact on compliance. From this year onwards we start with tailored information for specific customer groups.

Customer satisfaction survey

You can find the results from our Customer Satisfaction and Perceptions survey here. These results will be updated every three months.

Student loan scheme

Annual reports outline the schemes financial position, and provide an overview of government policy for student financial support and general information about the use of the scheme

Research and evaluation

From time-to-time we undertake research into various aspects of the programmes and services we administer. In this section you can read the executive summary of these reports online or download a copy of the complete report.

Performance Delivery and Measurement documents

The purpose of the Performance Delivery and Measurement Document (PDMD) is to set out in detail how the performance standards in the Information Supporting the Estimates will be measured. The PDMD ensures our methodology is correct, robust, well documented, and consistent across years.

Information releases

From time to time we release reports that provide information that might be of interest to the public.
