Notice of assessment for child support

Once we receive your completed registration form, we will send you a notice of assessment. This tells you how much child support you have to pay and explains your rights if you want to object to the assessment.

Making payments

You have 30 days from the date you receive your first notice of assessment to make your first child support payment. From then on, you must pay child support to us on or before the 20th of each month.

If you are not on a benefit you will be given the choice of several payment options. If you receive a benefit from Work and Income, deductions will be made directly from your benefit.
