Introduction to business tax workshop

A seminar for people who are thinking of starting their own business, or are new to business, covering record keeping requirements, keeping a cash book, income and expenses, budgeting for income tax payments, due dates for returns, payments and provisional tax, and an overview of GST. Introduction to PAYE/KiwiSaver workshop

A workshop for people who are new to employing staff covering: wage records, PAYE and other deductions, including KiwiSaver. Using IR's online tools we will show you how to calculate PAYE deductions, how to complete your Employer monthly schedule (IR348) and Employer deductions form (IR345), due dates and electronic filing of returns. We will also cover our new "Tool for business" and other e-services.

This hands-on two hour workshop covers:

  • completing an electronic cashbook
  • how to use the cashbook to complete your GST and IR3 tax returns, and
  • using the cashbook to budget for your end of year income tax.
