About this service

You can register for myIR Secure Online Services which is like internet banking. It allows you to view details about your account, file returns, send mail and update details such as bank account, addresses and phone numbers straightaway.

When to use this service

Use this service to register for myIR. This gives you your own account with access to the following services:

For families and individuals

  • Secure mail
    • allows you to communicate electronically with Inland Revenue in a secure environment.
  • Account information
    • view your recent transactions and balances, and drill down for full transactional and return information about your accounts.
  • My family details and income
    • allows you to update your family details for your Working for Families payments.

What you will need
  • The IRD number for you, your company or your organisation.
  • Current contact details - phone number and email address.
  • A compatible browser that supports 128 - bit Secure Socket Layer Connection (SSL).
After you finish

You can call us on 0800 227 770 to have your account activated. You can then start using myIR straightaway.

This service may require you to send confidential information to Inland Revenue so it is located on a secure part of our website to prevent unauthorised interception. If you are unable to access this service, your browser and/or firewall settings may need updating.
