0800 self-service lines

Phone numbers

We offer a range of automated options through our 0800 self-service lines. You can order stationery (forms and guides) and request personal tax summaries using our natural language speech recognition (NLSR) system. This lets you use your voice instead of keying in numbers on the phone's keypad. For all other services you'll need to use a touch tone phone and key in numbers for options.

Remember to have your IRD number handy when you call.

It's also helpful if you know the number of any forms or booklets you're ordering. For access to personal information, such as account balances, you'll need a 0800 self-service PIN. You can get a PIN by calling 0800 257 777 and following the step-by-step instructions.

You can phone our 0800 self-service line for the following services at any time (except between 5am and 6am) seven days a week. Please note these services will be unavailable, due to regular maintenance every Sunday from 12.30am to 4.30am and from 10pm to midnight on the last day of each month.

All hours of service are in New Zealand standard time: November to February GMT + 12 hours, March to October GMT + 13 hours.
