How to contact us
You must contact us in writing within 21 days of the change and provide us with the relevant information for the change.
When you change your bank account, you can tell us in writing or by filling out a Direct credit authorisation (Fast refunds) (IR587) form. Individual taxpayers can also choose to give us bank account changes by calling us on our general enquiries line for individuals on 0800 227 774. You can call us:
- Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, and
- Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
Why contact us?
You should contact us about any change relating to your GST returns or your GST registration early to avoid interests and penalties.

Some changes to your GST return may incur interests and penalties.
