Making payments to Inland Revenue: Payment slips
Preprinted payment slips have your payment details encoded on them for our scanning machines to read. The payment details update to your account.
Check your details and enter the payment amount in the box provided. Make sure you correct any details that are wrong.
Payment slips with returns
Leave any payment slip attached to the return. If you've paid electronically, you need to let us know on the return before you send it to us.
If you don't have a payment slip
If you don't have a payment slip, include these details with your payment:
- your name and address
- your IRD number
- the account types you're paying
- the period or year the payment is for
- the amount.
