STEP 1.

Check if you're eligible

Think you could be owed a tax refund? Select any of the below criteria and get registered for myIR. Then you'll be able to get it sorted online.

Select any statements that apply to you:

I EARNED LESS THAN $48,000 IN THE LAST TAX YEAR

I'VE HAD A PART TIME JOB IN THE LAST TAX YEAR

I'VE TAKEN AN EXTENDED BREAK OR ONLY WORKED FOR PART OF THE LAST TAX YEAR

I'VE HAD MORE THAN ONE JOB IN THE LAST TAX YEAR

NONE OF THESE APPLY

GREAT!
YOU COULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR A TAX REFUND

If you haven't already registered for myIR, now is a really good time.

To register for a myIR account you'll need your IRD Number, you can find this:

A) On letters or statements from us,

SORRY!
YOU'RE PROBABLY NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A TAX REFUND

It doesn't look like you're eligible. But if you do think you're due a refund, you can still check back
when Step 2 is available in mid-May

In the meantime, you can register for a myIR account or if you're already registered, now's a great time
to log back in and make sure your personal details are up to date.
