Do you have overdue tax? Are you behind with a tax return?
On 10 and 17 March, we contacted about 2,000 customers who had overdue tax of over $100, or 1 overdue income tax return.
The taxes involved were:
- GST
- income tax
- employer payments (like PAYE).
Customers received a pre-recorded call or voicemail message.
We are continuing this type of contact so if you have not already heard from us, we may be in touch with you shortly.
If we call you, how do you know it’s not a scam? The caller ID will show as Inland Revenue and the number 0800 951 758 will display on your phone.
The message will remind you to pay your tax or file your return. We’ll give you ways to contact us.
