Find out who is a Reporting Crypto-Asset Service Provider (RCASP) and when an RCASP has a connection with New Zealand.

Who is an RCASP?

An RCASP is any individual or entity carrying out the exchange or conversion of relevant crypto-assets on behalf of users as a business, including those serving as a counterparty, intermediary or providing a trading platform.

You may be an RCASP if you provide services for customers that enable them to exchange:

  • relevant crypto-assets for fiat currency
  • fiat currency for relevant crypto-assets
  • a relevant crypto-asset for another.

Your business might be an exchange, broker, dealer or operator of a trading platform.
