Follow these steps to apply for a financial arrangements determination in myIR.

Before you start

After you attend a pre-lodgement meeting (PLM), or it has been waived, you will get a link in myIR to complete your application for a determination. There will be separate links for each ruling or financial arrangements determination application.

You will need to provide additional information in your application and include a draft determination. See Information you need when you apply.

Information you need when you apply

In myIR, go to 'Manage my profile'

Select the 'Alerts' tab

Under 'Submit a ruling or determination application'

Select ‘Complete and submit application’ for each determination or ruling.

Review the applicant and contact details

Financial arrangements determination

If you’ve applied for a ruling or determination on the transaction in the past, provide a reference number or final ruling number.

If you’ve already received advice from us on the transaction, attach details in the next step.

Attachments

Attach the draft determination and any supporting information explaining the issues or arrangement.

We are required to publish financial arrangements determinations. If you want an anonymous version published, attach a draft determination with all identifying details removed.

Review and submit your application

Log in to myIR

What happens next

We will invoice the main applicant for the initial application fee. We will begin to process the application once we’ve received the fee. You will receive a notification of this, including payment instructions if you intend to pay the application fee on behalf of the main applicant.

Your application will be allocated to a team who will be in touch with you shortly.
