Disagreeing with your child support

You can apply to have your child support reviewed, object to a decision we've made, or apply for an exemption to stop paying it entirely.

Reviews If you have special circumstances that are not taken into account in your formula assessment, you can apply for a child support review.
Exemptions You can apply to stop paying child support in certain circumstances, like being in prison or hospital long-term.
Objections You can object to a child support assessment or decision that affects or involves you, and we'll check if our decision was correct. If it's wrong, we'll fix it.
The Family Court If you disagree with a decision we’ve made about your objection, review, Commissioner review or exemption review, you can apply to the Family Court to see if they will overturn our decision.
