Use myIR to apply for a special depreciation rate or higher maximum pooling value. There are 2 stages – initiating and then completing the application. 

Applying on behalf of someone else

If you’re applying on behalf of someone else, you do not need to be linked to them or their myIR account. You must have their authority to apply on their behalf. Once you’ve submitted the application, access to it and any supporting documents is restricted to you.  

Initiating an application

Begin by initiating your application in myIR and providing applicant and contact details. You do not need to provide any documents or supporting information at this stage.

Completing an application

After we’ve processed your initial application, we’ll contact you within 10 working days about the next steps. You will have a link in myIR that is pre-populated with your applicant details. Use this link to complete the full application. 

You will need to provide supporting information when you complete your application for a depreciation determination.
