When you use ‘Register for new tax accounts' in myIR, you will not be able to add a new bank account as part of the initial registration for a tax type (for example, EMP or GST).
Once the tax type has been successfully registered and you can see it in myIR, you can add a bank account if you have ‘full account access’ to clients.
You will still be able to select an existing (already recorded) bank account number during registration.
This approach helps reduce the risk of unauthorised bank account changes.
