From 13 April we will be emailing incorporated society customers who were removed from the Incorporated Societies register for failing to re-register by 5 April 2026.
We will contact societies if our records indicate they were removed from the register on 6 April, and will cover the impacts if the customer is any of these:
- registered for GST
- registered as an employer
- a registered charity.
Who we’ll contact
Where we have a valid email address, we’ll email the customer directly.
Where we do not have a valid email address, and there’s a linked tax agent, we’ll email the tax agent.
The email will outline the impacts of being removed from the register and include links to the Companies Office website so customers can take required actions.
