Some clients with older unpaid tax debt that has been overdue for more than 6 months may be contacted by Baycorp who we have engaged as a third-party debt collection agency.
This approach helps:
- encourage earlier engagement on overdue debt
- improve compliance outcomes
- reduce the risk of debt escalating over time.
Baycorp may reach out by phone, email, SMS or letter.
The aim is to encourage clients to take action early and prevent debt increasing.

Please note these important points.
- We still own the tax debt.
- Baycorp acts for us to contact and engage with customers.
- All payments must still be made directly to us.
What you can do to help
If Baycorp contacts your client , you can:
- help your client understand their position
- assist with payment or instalment arrangements
- support them if they are having financial difficulty.
