Refugee IRD numbers

Memorandum of understanding between Inland Revenue (IR) and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) for disclosure of information related providing IRD numbers for refugees.

Purpose of agreement

To ensure that MSD can receive a refugee’s IRD number within the timeframe before the refugee’s benefit is suspended because MSD does not have the information.

• date of birth
• IRD number.
