Purpose of agreement

Making corrections in the agencies’ respective customer databases in relation to Contact Information or Identifying Information.

Data exchanged

MSD and IR may exchange:

• Name and surname, and aliases
• Date of birth
• Address
• IRD number
• Social Welfare Number
• Service type (such as the benefit and NZ Super)

Legal authority

Approved Information Sharing Agreement under Part 7 of the Privacy Act 2020 and section 18E (2) of the Tax Administration Act 1994.
