Planned system outage | Our online services (including myIR and submitting information using software providers) will be unavailable from 6am Saturday 14 to around 6pm Sunday 15 March while we complete some system upgrades. Planned system outage in March 2026

Passkeys allow you to log into myIR using your fingerprint, face, or screen lock, like a PIN, instead of your username and password.

Why use a passkey

With passkeys, you do not need to remember complex passwords. Because passkeys are saved to your password manager, you can log in on other devices.

You will not need to provide a security code when you log in using a passkey.

Log in with a passkey

Once you have added a passkey to your myIR account, the next time you log into myIR you can select ‘Log in with a passkey’.

Add passkey

In myIR go to the Security tab in 'Manage my profile'.

Select ‘Create a passkey’ twice and follow the onscreen instructions to select your passkey method and device. Then follow the instructions on your chosen device to set it up.

You will need to register your credential (passkey). The default credential name ‘Security Key’ will be displayed, but you can edit this to make it easier to identify (for example ‘iphone’) then click ‘OK’.

Note: if you click ‘Cancel’ no passkey will be created.

If you want to add more passkeys to your account, then in myIR select ‘Manage passkeys’ and ‘Create a passkey’.

Remove passkey

Go to the Security tab in 'Manage my profile'.

Select ‘Manage passkey’ and then the ‘X’ next to the passkey you want to remove. Select ‘Yes’ to confirm.
