The Minister of Revenue has introduced the Taxation (Annual Rates for 2025–26, Compliance Simplification, and Remedial Measures) Bill in August 2025.

The Bill includes proposed changes that, if passed, will take effect on or before 1 April 2026.

Other changes and residual items also come into effect in April 2026:

  • updates from Budget 2025
  • residual items from the previous Taxation Act
  • regular rate and threshold adjustments
  • other enhancements.

Changes coming in April 2026
