We’ll estimate your Working for Families entitlement before the start of the tax year and work out your actual entitlement at the end of the tax year.

Confirming your entitlement for the coming tax year In February or March, you’ll receive a notice of entitlement or a letter asking you for more information.
End-of-year assessments At the end of each tax year (31 March) we work out how much Working for Families you should have been paid (your end-of-year entitlement) based on your actual family income and situation for the tax year (1 April to 31 March), and if you'll get a refund or a bill.
Help to repay a debt If you have a Working for Families debt, but you’re having trouble paying, please do not worry. We can help you.
