The Te Taunaki Public Service Census was run in March 2025. Three-quarters of IR staff responded to the survey, which included asking them about delivery of outcomes, enablers of productivity, teamwork, innovation, use of technology and Māori Crown capability.
- 92% of IR people feel the work they do contributes to better outcomes for New Zealand (Public Service average: 87%)
- 94% think it’s important that IR is careful in how it uses public money (Public Service average: 90%)
- 79% say they have access to the learning and development they need to do their job well (Public Service average: 63%)
- 77% think their team works on customer feedback to improve their work (Public Service average: 67%)
