Helping you to understand child support reviews (IR175)

(published July 2018)

Read this guide to help you understand administrative, exemption and Commissioner reviews.

A review looks at a child support assessment to see it can be changed to fit your situation. Both paying parents and receiving carers can apply for a review.

The review process is based the Family Court departure order process. Our staff organise the review but it is done by an independent person (review officer) we contract.

If you're the other party(s) to the review, you can put your side of the situation to the review officer. We call this your "response".
