Kia kaha te reo Māori –strengthening the language

Welcome to Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori - Māori Language Week, where we celebrate one of our national languages. This year’s theme is Kia kaha te reo Māori – strengthening the language. The aim of the week; to encourage all new Zealanders to help strengthen te reo Māori; strength comes from learning new words, practice saying them and using them as often as you can.

Ka whakamārama ngā Kaitakawaenga Māori i ngā mea katoa e tika ana kia mōhio koe e pā ana ki te tāke umanga me te tāke o te hunga takitahi me ētahi atu wāhanga o Te Tari Taake.

Ka taea e te Kaitakawaenga Māori te hoatu:

Kaitakawaenga Māori offers a free advisory service to help meet the needs of Māori individuals, organisations and businesses. We will explain everything you need to know about business and individual tax and other areas of Inland Revenue.

Māori Community Officers can offer:

  • One-to-one tax advice
  • Tax training or seminars
  • Tax agencies at resource centres or marae
  • School visits (Kōhanga reo, Kura kaupapa).
