Important Update

We're planning to upgrade our internal system over the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October.

Our online services – including myIR, self-service phonelines and gateway services – will be unavailable from 9pm Saturday 4 October to about 3pm Sunday 5 October.

Our phonelines and offices will be back to normal hours on Monday 6 October.

Drafts in myIR

Individual IRD number web requests that are saved as drafts and not completed by Monday 29 September will be deleted during the shutdown.

You will not be able to save drafts for Individual IRD number web requests from Tuesday 30 September until Monday 6 October.

All other drafts saved in myIR will be available as usual after the shutdown.

Tax agents to use the online Individual IRD number application

From Monday 6 October, tax agents will use our online Individual IRD number application, as the tax agent specific service will be retired. This change is part of our October Release, which includes a few changes to the Individual IRD number applications.

The impact on tax agents is minimal. We’ll provide an article in the newsletter subscription service next week with more details.

Our website will remain available, and you will still be able to make payments through your bank during the shutdown.
