We are aware of an issue when tax agents complete an account registration for a client in myIR. Bank account due diligence is being asked for when the client is a New Zealand tax resident.

You do not need to complete the due diligence. You can progress the registration without a bank account by filling in the reason box. We're working to remove this request.

Tax agents are not able to add a new bank account during registration for security reasons. You can select an existing bank account if there is one on the client's account. Once you're linked to the new account, if you have the appropriate security access you can add a new bank account then.
