Changes to the myIR login screen are coming You will not be able to use myIR between 1pm Saturday 8 October and 8am Monday 10 October. This is so we can update our external authentication system. From Monday 10 October the myIR login page will have a new look and feel, but the login process will not change.

Cost of Living Payment Eligible customers will have the payment automatically paid into their bank accounts by the end of the day 3 October 2022. The payments will be staggered and Credit Union customers may not receive their payment until 4 October 2022. Cost-of-Living-Payment

Before you start

You will need to know:

  • the fringe benefits you provide and who you provide them to
  • which filing frequency to choose.

Filing frequency for fringe benefit tax

Access your FBT account

In myIR choose 'More...' in the FBT account and select 'Change filing frequency'.

Complete information on the fringe benefits you provide

  • Who you provide or intend to provide fringe benefits to.
  • Whether your gross PAYE and ESCT in the previous year was $1,000,000 or less.
  • Whether you had employees in the previous year.

Choose your filing frequency

The filing frequency options will then show. Choose the one you want to change to.

Log in to myIR

You can send us a message in myIR advising:

  • the filing frequency you want to use, or 
  • changes to the benefit you provide your employees and that you do not need to file a fringe benefit tax return anymore.

What happens next

Your request will take 5 working days to process. We will send you a letter or let you know through myIR when this is completed.
