You will need your partner's.

  • IRD number
  • date of birth
  • full name
  • paid parental leave entitlement start date.

Complete the transfer request in myIR

Log in to myIR to complete the transfer request. To get to the transfer request after you’ve logged in to myIR, select:

  1. your Paid Parental Leave account
  2. ‘More >’ next to the ‘I want to…’ heading
  3. ‘Transfer my Paid Parental Leave’.

You’ll have a chance to review the information you’ve entered before submitting the request

What happens next

We’ll send your partner a notification advising them to complete an application to complete the transfer process.

Your entitlement will be updated to show that your payments have been transferred from the date provided.
