From 1 July, we will be changing the way we collect overdue debt for clients of tax agents. This applies to clients who have been through our normal billing cycle, received warning letters and continue to receive monthly statements of accounts.
You will still have the opportunity to check the debt is correct and to assist clients with debt repayment options.
We will be using direct contact campaigns, including outbound calling and SMS messaging, for clients who have not engaged with us, and have a debt that is 6 months old or more.
We will not be contacting clients who have debt under current negotiations, debt in dispute, or any Significant Enterprise customers.
If you have clients with overdue tax debt which is not under arrangement or current negotiations, please strongly encourage them to talk with us as soon as possible. We are here to help.
