Returns received before the final provisional tax instalment due date

Income tax returns for provisional tax customers will be held for processing until after the final provisional tax instalment due date for the same tax year. The only exception to this is returns for customers filing an early return due to permanently leaving New Zealand or for a deceased customer.

This is to allow our system to correctly calculate any use of money interest or penalties that may be charged.
