Check the donee organisation is approved
You can only use payroll giving to donate to an approved donee organisation.
Make the donation
Pass the donation on to the donee organisation. Tell them the donation is made through payroll giving.
Work out your tax credit
Work out the tax credit you’re entitled to. This is 33.33% of each dollar donated.
Update your employment information
Update your employment information in myIR.
- Deduct the donation from your pay.
- Reduce the amount of PAYE you need to pay by the tax credit your payroll giving has entitled you to for this pay period.
