Planned system outage | Our online services (including myIR and submitting information using software providers) will be unavailable from 6am Saturday 14 to around 6pm Sunday 15 March while we complete some system upgrades. Planned system outage in March 2026

Paying (liable) parents can set up a payment plan in myIR to sort out ongoing child support or any missed payments.

You can pay by direct debit or make the payments yourself. But if your employer takes your child support from your salary or wages, you cannot set up this type of payment plan.

Contact us to talk about making repayments through your employer, or pay the missed amount in full.

In myIR, go to the child support - liable parent account panel

Then select 'More...'

Go to Payments and refunds

Then select 'Set up a child support payment plan'.

Enter your details and submit

You can choose:

  • one-off or recurring direct debits
  • to make the payments yourself.

Log in to myIR

What happens next

If you’re paying by direct debit, your payments will come out automatically.

If you’re making the payments yourself, your plan shows you the dates payments are due.

Contact us if you want to update your payment plan.
