Eligibility for Fees Free

You may be able get Fees Free if you meet the qualification or programme and residency requirements. Even if you meet these, you may not be able to get Fees Free if you have already studied or done work-based learning, or got a payment in the past.

Qualification and programme eligibility You cannot get Fees Free for every qualification or programme. To get Fees Free, the qualification or programme must meet certain requirements.
Residency requirements To get Fees Free, you must meet the residency requirements on the day you complete your qualification or programme.
Previous study or work-based learning
You can only get Fees Free for the 1st qualification or programme you complete. If you have studied or done work-based learning previously, you may not be able to get Fees Free for your current qualification or programme.
Previous payments If you have already had Fees Free (for 1st year or final-year) you cannot get it again. If you used Training incentive allowance to pay your final-year study fees, in most cases you cannot get Fees Free.
