Donation tax credit statistics datasets

We update the donation tax credit (DTC) statistics data yearly using Inland Revenue administrative data.

How we organise the data

The Excel spreadsheet has notes that give important background or technical information.

Information available in the spreadsheet includes the number of donors, value of donations, value of donation tax credit paid, and payroll giving. Selected tabulations of the data are available by donor taxable income, donor age, and the category the donation was paid to (as reported to Inland Revenue).

Files to download

The spreadsheet has revisions to the 2020 to 2024 tax years and new data for the 2025 tax year. The data may not match what we have previously published. Only our most up-to-date information is available for download.
